Hawkers sold a sunglasses every second on Black Friday

The Elche company shipped 90,000 units on Black Friday and 625,000 units during the entire discount campaign. Spain represented only 25% of the turnover after the expansion of its sales in recent months by Europe, the United States, South America and Australia.

Last Black Friday was a record for the sunglasses and optics company Hawkers. Only on November 29, the Elche firm managed to sell 90,000 units in 24 hours, that is, it sold a new model every second of the day.

The Hawkers campaign for Black Friday 2019, which was launched in the markets of Europe, the United States, South America and Australia, represented a growth for the brand of 62% compared to last year. According to the company, they sold more than 625,000 units during this period.

The eyewear and optician firm carried out an innovative omnichannel promotion campaign that achieved excellent results both online and offline. On this occasion, he made an aggressive 3×1 offer on his products with the message Ride a Trio.

Nacho Puig, CEO of the Hawkers group, pointed out that they continue to “successfully capitalize on important milestones in the company. On this occasion, we have achieved relevant turnover volumes, being profitable and scalable, thanks to the roadmap that we have been following since the beginning of the year. and that has allowed us to meet the strategic objectives.

“The results of the Black Friday campaign are also the result of the significant investment in Business Intelligence (BI) and technology that we have made throughout the year. At this time it allows us to continue analyzing data to adapt to the needs of our consumers”, Nacho Puig added.

BUSINESS CONSOLIDATION AND QUALITY INCREASE

The results of Black Friday give continuity to the roadmap initiated by the company at the beginning of 2019, focused on the consolidation of the business, the internationalization and the diversification of channels and audiences.

In 2019 the Spanish firm has expanded its presence in the wholesale distribution channel, has developed the sunglasses project with the opening of 13 opticians in Spain and one in Portugal; and it currently exceeds 82 stores between Spain, Portugal and Italy.

In the coming months a new point of sale will open in London’s Covent Garden shopping area. In this way, it will become the first Spanish fashion brand to be present in the traditional London market alongside several luxury brands.

Hawkers has also made a significant increase in quality and design standards in its 2019 collection. The brand presented for the first time sunglasses made entirely in Italy (It Club Collection) with exclusive materials of Mazzucchelli acetate and high-quality stainless steel. .

On the other hand, it also introduced sports glasses with photochromic, polarized lenses, exclusive lines for wholesale and retail, with designs and qualities that reach a higher level.
